We went out to explore Bologna today in the heat. It must have been at least 35 degrees so we didn't explore too quickly! The main tourist sight in Bologna is a pair of towers that were built hundreds of years ago by two competing families. Height of tower was a sign of influence and affluence.
Sadly, one of the two towers soon collapsed, but the view is, if anything, even more impressive. This afternoon, the beating sun made an interesting backdrop to the unusual sight.
